The best known and the cheapest transport is, of course, the boat as the city is interlinked with waterways. Tourists travel by Shikaras, which are beautifully decorated with comfortable seating arrangement. Jammu &Kashmir State transport Corporation coaches, Jammu & Kashmir Tourism buses and Tourist taxis are available at fixed rates for travelling with in the city and outside the city. Auto rickshaws, Mini buses, Matadors, and the city buses are the means of local transport for Jammu & Kashmir Travel.
